How have ethics evolved? Get up to speed on legal mandates, the proper use of technology, and establishing clear and appropriate boundaries with clients.

Full Description:
Many mental health professionals have more anxiety about “legal ramifications” of their actions than “ethical practice.” The fact remains that knowledge of ethical standards and ethical decision making processes can enhance client care and decrease the “legal” anxiety.

This webinar will address the ethical/legal mandates for practice, with specifics on “duty to warn,” subpoenas, complaints, and investigations.   Participants will also investigate the unique concerns that surround the use of technology in their practices, particularly as it relates to communication. Finally, the dynamics of the counseling relationship will be evaluated to determine, among other things, where boundaries lie and when it might be necessary to terminate treatment.

Course Includes:
Live Q&A
Presentation Handout
Post session recording access
CE Credit
