Because of the coupled physics effects that occur in biotechnology, medical organizations use multiphysics simulations to advance medical devices and treatment procedures. This webinar covers several forms of bioheating: lasers, high- and low-frequency electromagnetic waves, chemical reactions, and acoustic waves. A key question for medical professionals studying these phenomena is whether biological tissue is damaged, and if so, to what extent.
