This 60-minute webinar will describe and explain the steps required to establish and put in place a blood borne pathogen program that is in compliance with OSHA’s requirements.

Exposure to blood borne pathogens has long been recognized as a potential hazard, not merely to health care workers, but to others who deal with the public, as well.Teachers, clerks, those involved in manufacturing, police, and firefighters to name a few have potential for exposure. In addition, even if your job does not involve health care or health care related work, you need to know how to protect yourself from exposure to blood borne pathogens and what the potential risks of exposure may be. Some workers may also have responsibility for cleaning up locations where employees or others were cut, lacerated or injured. These personnel should have the basic knowledge of how to properly clean such locations while protecting themselves from exposure to blood or bodily fluids.
