Overview: OCR has announced the details of their new 2014 and beyond audit program. We also now know the findings of the 2012 program which is useful in defining where they will scrutinize in 2014 and beyond. OCR publishes the rules and methodologies surrounding the audits and the criteria, called 'protocols' they will evaluate. This presentation will examine the latest audit protocols available and illustrate how performance of required security and privacy risk analysis can also prepare your organization for audits by the Feds and increasingly other enforcement agencies, including the States.

Why should you attend: HIPAA and other forms of privacy and security investigations, enforcement and audits are at an all-time high. Being proactive and ready for audit level reviews of your organization’s security and privacy compliance programs is highly recommended to reduce the risks of penalties, lawsuits and other unwanted effects from violations. This presentation will present the latest information on the upcoming audit program.
