Dr. Dobrzykowski dissects the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and illuminates the new realities of health care financing and delivery of services.

Full Description:
As a result of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and regulations, hospitals and providers have been impacted by reduced Medicare payments through patient readmission penalties, reduced qualifying inpatient stays, and hospital acquired conditions. The initiation of accountable care organizations, medical homes, Medicare functional limitation reporting, post-acute bundled payments, and consolidated case rates have implications for current and future delivery of rehabilitation services.

This webinar describes these system changes with emphasis on implications for rehabilitation services managers and clinicians. We will review strategies for improving value, moving forward. Principles of change management provide a guide for adapting to new business realities.
