ICD-10-CM codes change as of October 1st, 2018. This session with expert speaker Jill M. Young, CPC, CEDC, CIMC, will demonstrate the code changes for Gastroenterology in 2018 to give a jump on the new codes. This session will explore code changes as proposed by the Coordination and Maintenance Committee as well as give the logic and background clinical information on them.
 
The session will discuss how to be prepared for the changes coming up in less than three weeks. You will learn which codes affect your practice and make any appropriate changes in preparation. Understanding some clinical aspects of the codes will help you better understand the use of the codes and in teaching others.
