Overview: This webinar will provide an overview of the drug discovery process, the "R" in R&D of pharma organizations. It will describe the flow of activities from target identification through pre-clinical development. The key role of pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics will be explained.

This webinar will describe the types of decisions at each stage, and the types of data collected at each stage to enable those decisions. The roles of the various scientific components will explained: genomics, cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics. and chemistry. Throughout, it will define the various terms used - the 'lingo' of drug discovery research.

Why Should You Attend: This webinar will be on interest to those who are moving into the drug discovery arena, or are planning to do that. For example, these may be technology companies or service providers.
