Using ideas from standards-based teaching, Bloom's taxonomy, and cognitive development theories, I've completely reformed my classroom experience. Students learn new material, are assessed, and review daily. Yes, all three! Students learn basic skills and develop problem-solving habits. I'd love to share what I do, offer any help, and solicit your feedback! Note: This is at the high school level.

Adam Yankay

I'm a math teacher of 17 year experience, including 7 years as a Department Chair. With an undergraduate background in psychology, a degree in Performance, and a passion for coaching football, I'm used to looking at things a bit differently. Professionally, I've been AP Statistics Reader for the past 4 years. For my mathematics students, I've spent the last 7 years re-examing assessment practices, the nature of learning, and what it means to "teach." I look forward to learning from colleagues on this forum!
