BigBlueButton is the leading virtual classroom solution for Moodle. According to Moodle, the BigBlueButtonBN plugin ranks the 6th most popular plugin (over 27,000 downloads) for Moodle in the last 12 months.
Like Moodle, BigBlueButton is also an OpenSource project which helps instructors to deliver effective online classes.
For integration with Moodle, the BigBlueButtonBN plugin supports calendar integration, roles mapping, pre-uploading of slides, and management of recording. With the activity completion plugin, Moodle marks the user as having completed the activity. For example, students participated in online classes for a total of 120 minutes.
