While the US presidential election and Brexit have loomed large in recent months, requirements concerning EU substance-related legislation have continued to progress. This webinar will review the latest developments including:

Chris joined ERA in 1983 as a graduate physicist and was awarded a PhD in plasma microfabrication techniques from the University of Surrey in 1990 – research carried out while at ERA. The group provides consultancy and analysis to industry in support of changes required by environmental legislation, particularly the WEEE and RoHS directives.

Paul provides consultancy on environmental and technical legislation including the EU RoHS, WEEE, and Eco-design directives and the REACH regulations. He assists many clients to determine their obligations and to deal with their implications. He regularly presents papers on regulatory compliance issues at international conferences.
- Revisions to the RoHS Directive concerning scope, spare parts, exemptions, global standardisation and timings plus potential new substance restrictions under discussion
- New REACH SVHCs (Substances of Very High Concern) and authorization activities, revised guidance on substances in articles reporting (Article 33), and enforcement
