Is it possible for a substance dependence treatment program to be both universally accessible and also personally meaningful for each client? Dr. Clare Steffen answers this question with a resounding “yes” by demonstrating how to incorporate a series of client choices as the essential ingredient in the therapeutic setting.

Full Description:
Providing effective substance dependence treatment demands an environment that is accessible to all clients and still honors their own unique journeys. Incorporating choices as the foundation of the process allows the therapist the flexibility to offer options, regardless of backgrounds and particular struggles. For clients, selecting and prioritizing choice makes treatment more personally meaningful and thus increases the chance of a successful recovery.
In this webinar, Dr. Clare Steffen will merge elements of Universal Design and her own work in Cognitions of Choice© to show you how to develop a choice-based treatment protocol. If you are looking for tools to potentially reach a broader range of clients and facilitate real change in their lives, this webinar is for you.
