Summary:
Heavy workloads, team dysfunction, burnout and exhaustion are all too common for front-line professionals dealing with child maltreatment day after day. This workshop will highlight the signs and symptoms that indicate team members, or the team itself, is suffering from one or a combination of these issues leading to the verbalizations of excuses that allow for the closing of a case immediately after an interview. We’ve all heard them and most of us have used that at one time or another. Using some of the most common excuses that are signposts of this problem, the presenters will discuss strategies for recognizing the true source and addressing them within the MDT.
